Hello my friends!
You may have noticed that I’ve been on a Higher Self kick for the past few months. I’ve been writing blog posts, putting up videos, and teaching classes.
So why is this work so important?
Reconnecting with the Higher Self is often the first step on the path to transformational learning, healing, and growth. When we tap in to the powerful resource of our True Nature, we recognize that we already have everything we need in terms of guidance and support to solve all of our problems.
Through having a lived experience of the infinite wellspring of loving, healing, and creative energy that is within us, we begin to trust in that part of our being that is always ready to help and nurture us.
“Lived experience” is the key phrase here. As an intellectual exercise, the Higher Self is a nice idea. But it’s not enough.
Whether you’ve already worked with me 1:1 or are still thinking about it, there are a few things you can do to connect with your Higher Self and keep that connection fresh.
Just Ask
First of all, whether or not you’re consciously aware of it,your Higher Self is ALWAYS present. That’s why all you have to do at any given moment is ASK for Its support and guidance.
Go ahead and do that now. Close your eyes and begin to open your heart to that deeper, wiser part of your being that is always there, listening to and supporting you. Ask for Its help and give it your wholehearted permission to begin to flow, unobstructed through your being.
You don’t have to even know that it’s happening now. Just begin to trust that it is so, and that connection will continue to deepen and grow, more and more, each and every day.
Make A New Habit
The second thing to do is to make a new habit so you can keep the connection fresh.
The only thing that keeps us believing we’re somehow “disconnected” from our Higher Self is that we’re distracted. We get caught up in the tiny details and dramas of life and forget the big picture.
That distraction is simply a habit. It’s powerful and compelling but just a habit nonetheless.
You can begin to form a new habit by committing to turn your attention to your Higher Self at least once a day. You can do this with a prayer, a mantra, an affirmation, or a visualization.
A prayer or mantra might be, “May the loving, healing energy and Grace of my Higher Self flow through my every thought, word, and action”.
You can write this down on a postcard or sticky note and put it somewhere you’ll see it first thing in the morning.
A visualization could be closing your eyes and imagining a pure, white, golden light shining at your heart, surrounding you in a protective sphere of energy that also radiates loving-kindness out to all beings.
You can set an alarm or mindfulness bell to remind you to do this visualization each day for 30 seconds or 1 minute.
As you bring these new habits in to your life, notice how things begin to change-subtly and not-so-subtly-in your state of mind and being.
If you would like to learn more about how hypnosis can help you connect to your Higher Self, schedule a free consultation call with either myself or one of my staff. During that time you can let us know what your goals are. We’ll then explain exactly what we do and how hypnosis works. We can then decide together how to best move forward on your personal journey of self-discovery.
