As you might imagine, that’s not a question with a one-size-fits-all answer. Everybody is different. Some people experience their changes in a few sessions. Others take longer. There’s no right or wrong way to go.
Generally speaking hypnotherapy is a relatively fast, solution-based treatment.
However, I occasionally hear from prospective clients who expect (or at least hope) that their issue will be solved after a single session.
Don’t get me wrong, hypnotherapy is a powerful modality and even a single session can bring positive results. But this is a case where we need to manage our expectations.
Hypnosis is not a magic cure.
We don’t just snap our fingers and make big, sweeping changes. As with any real move towards transformation, healing, and growth you will have to put in some effort as well.
But that’s good news. It means that you’ve decided to take charge of your emotional, physical, and spiritual health. With that attitude, you will achieve lasting healing and change.
I normally recommend that we start out with 3 sessions for work related to issues like smoking, anxiety, eating, etc.
This gives us time to get comfortable with the trance state, explore solutions for the issues you are working through, and develop the resources and skills to support your desired change. In my experience, most issues can be worked through within 3 to 6 sessions.
For my Confidence and Spiritual Coaching clients I also have packages of 6, 10, or 20 sessions.
I value your time and money. It is always my intention that you get the best possible results as quickly as possible. Throughout our time together I will be collaborating with you on what comes next. You know yourself better than anyone else. You are the one who is in control of this process and whenever you decide your journey is complete, I will honor and support that.
In the end, I want you to be happy, joyous, and free of all unnecessary limitations. To be honest, my best case scenario is that after a few sessions you’re so happy with the results, you never need to come back.
