Stress is a natural part of life. Anxiety is not.
When faced with uncertain, difficult, or dangerous situations our brains and bodies respond by increasing our adrenaline output. This heightens our senses, gives a boost to our cardiovascular system, and taps into our body’s energy reserves readying us for fight or flight.
This natural, biological strategy is extremely useful…when it’s triggered in appropriate situations. For one reason or another, our brains can become habituated to a fight-flight-fear response even when it’s unnecessary. This is what we call anxiety.
Chronic, acute anxiety can be a living nightmare. It can limit happiness and quality of life on many levels.
Fortunately, there has been a huge amount of work done on understanding and relieving anxiety over the past several decades. Check out this short video where I demonstrate just one of the many techniques available to you to relieve unnecessary stress and anxiety.
